The space

The mill is a detached, all-on-one-level conversion. It has a bright open-plan kitchen and living space, with large sliding doors leading out to the patio. The bedroom has a king-size bed, and the bathroom features a walk-in shower.

Ty Felin is fully self-contained and sits adjacent to our traditional farmhouse. Outside the cottage, you may see farming activity, free-roaming chickens, and sheep grazing in the surrounding fields.

Guest access & logistics

  • Access & Parking: Half-mile private concrete track — well-maintained and suitable for all cars. Free off-road parking right next to the cottage (accessed via a few steps).
  • Walking to the Village: 10-minute downhill walk via our private footpath through fields and woods. Walking shoes are recommended as paths can get wet after rain.
  • Alternative Walk: You can drive down our track to our lower parking bay for a shorter, flatter walk into the village (there is no pavement, so a torch is useful after dark).

  • Work & Connectivity: Wi-Fi is reliable fibre and suitable for streaming or remote work.
  • EV Charging: Dedicated charger right next to the mill — please contact us in advance to confirm current rates.

Ty Felin includes all bed linen and towels, a well-equipped kitchen, and essential items such as washing-up liquid, cloths, and sponges. On arrival you’ll also find complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, a jug of milk, and homemade Welsh cakes with Welsh butter. We provide toiletries and a couple of toilet rolls to get you started.

All accommodation inside Ty Felin is on one level, making it suitable for babies and guests who prefer fewer internal steps. There are three steps outside from the parking area up to the path leading to the cottage.

Our cottage is strictly pet-free. As we are a working mountain farm, you will likely meet our friendly working dogs and free-roaming chickens during your stay, but we keep the interior pet-free to maintain our high standards of cleanliness.

Yes — the village is very close. Perthi sits just above Beddgelert, and it’s around a 10‑minute walk down via a path through fields and woodland, and about 20 minutes back up. The path can get wet after rain, so walking shoes are recommended.

Beddgelert village is a 10‑minute walk through fields and woodland and has a well‑stocked local shop (Emrys House), four pubs that all serve food, Bistro Hebog, Glaslyn Pizza which is also an ice‑cream shop and café, Caffi Colwyn, and Ty Coets coffee shop. For larger supermarkets, Porthmadog is 20 minutes away with Aldi, Lidl and Tesco, and Caernarfon is around 35 minutes with Morrisons, Tesco and Asda.
